While playing golf, you might be tempted to leave the course right away to catch up with a friend. Or you just feel sporty for the day and thought throwing in a pair of golf shoes would be great.
But you might be having a second thought whether it’s appropriate or not. Can you wear golf shoes casually?
Well, you SURE can wear golf shoes off the course as regular shoes; however, not all. There are different types of golf shoes. The ones tagged as “spiked” are made strictly on the greens due to their aggressive tread on the soles that could cause harm to your surroundings.
Therefore, what you should be considering are spikeless golf shoes.
Let me tell you why!
Can You Wear Golf Shoes Casually?

The reason spikeless golf shoes are notoriously popular is that they double up as normal wear as well as golf gear.
This type can be worn outside on the street as regular shoes because they are 100% safe, too, unlike the spiked version that can ONLY be worn in the greens. After all, the metals underneath them can damage the floors and other surfaces.
I guess the reason is apparent why you can’t wear spiked golf shoes casually, now?
Moreover, they are incredibly uncomfortable if worn for long, especially if you are not walking on soft terrain, your feet might hurt severely.

Spikeless shoes, on the other hand, are nothing close to that. They are quite similar to trainers and made from your popular sports brands: Adidas, Nike, and Puma.
Elegantly made, yet safe to walk on all surfaces for different occasions, just like regular sneakers.
More importantly, they are comfortable and flexible.
Since they are lightweight, they are easy to walk around with. This is because they don’t have those heavy spikes.
But that doesn’t mean they aren’t well-cushioned and supportive. They have better arch support too.
Spikeless golf shoes are built with quality and sumptuous functionality.
Additionally, the spikeless shoe is even 2X more stylish, has better designs like regular trainers, and can be easily paired with different kinds of outfits.
Conclusion
Do you feel that too? Like we’re ganging up on spiked shoes?
Let’s make it fair. Let’s give credit where it is due.
Not as though I’m condemning spiked shoes or whatsoever.
They are my most preferred on the course, especially when the greens are slippery since they provide more stability and grip.
They look elegant as well, but the bulk appearance and reflecting coating may not appeal to everyone for casual wear.
Aside from that, spikeless golf shoes are more pocket-friendly compared to spiked because the spikes underneath are quite expensive to manufacture.
But have it at the back of your mind that spiked golf shoes are still worth the investment, just that they are solely for golf.
